May 27th, 2018 is the 5th annual Dandelion Day Festival to be held at Millennium Park from 11a.m.-4p.m. This annual celebration focuses on healthy lifestyles and the public is invited to enjoy free live music, face painting, children’s activity wall, and a chance to meet local Health Practitioners and local authors.
The festival will include a charity bike ride, “Tour de Lion” Ride for Fun Health and Community, which includes 3 different routes. All proceeds from pledges collected will be donated directly to United Way to help in their work of building strong inclusive communities.
To participate, choose your ride and register!
Avid Cyclist Ride (55 km ride approx. 2-3hrs)
Registration fee: $100/rider (tax receipt provided upon request)
Begins at 9:00am at Peterborough Sports & Wellness Centre: 775 Brealey Dr, Peterborough
PCNM Trent Trail Family Ride to Millennium Park (10km route approx. 1/2-2hr)
Registration fee: $50/rider or $75/family (tax receipt provided upon request)
Begins at 11:00am at The Cabin, 1351 Armour Rd., Peterborough(at Nassau Mills Rd.)
Camp Ponacka All Wheels Mini Ride (1km route approx. 1/2-2hr)
Registration fee: $10 (no tax receipt)
Begins at 11:00am at the foot of Simcoe Street on the Trans Canada Trial in Millennium Park.
*All rides end at Tour de Lion Tent at Millennium Park (near the public washrooms)
*Check into your ride on ride day no later than 1/2 prior to ride start.
*ALL riders MUST sign a waiver. (riders under 16 must have parent signature. Waiver forms are available on dandelion day website and will also be available at check-in.
*All riders must have helmets.
