Otonabee Conservation is pleased to announce the 2017 Discovery Days series of family-friendly explorations and activities featuring the natural environment of the watershed region during the celebratory year of Ontario’s 150th birthday.
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM – OFAH/OPG Tackleshare Program and learn to fish this summer! Program includes games, fish identification, and all equipment is provided.
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM – Guided Paddling Tour of Little Lake
Bring your canoe/ kayak and join ORCA staff for a guided tour – by water of Meade Creek & Little lake. Learn about local species, natural and cultural history.
New in 2017 is the Discovery Days Passport, which individuals are encouraged to have stamped at the events they attend and enter their passport into a draw for a chance to win a great prize.
The prizes being offered include a 2018 Family Camping Package for the Warsaw Caves Conservation Area and Campground, a “Kawartha Chair” child-sized and a Pollinator Habitat Package, courtesy of Otonabee Conservation and the Hope Mill Volunteers.
